Sea Dragons Swimming re-entry
Good news! Sea Dragons Swimming will be beginning Phase 1 of our re-entry plan on Monday July 6th. Gold, Silver, and Bronze (returning swimmers only) will be starting practices then at SDHS. Phase 2: consisting of new swimmers and Little Dragons will be having registration mid September for an Oct. 1st start date.
Registration is now open on our team website for our Phase 1 swimmers. You must complete the online registration and sign and return attached waiver prior to the first day of practice.
Below are the Guidelines our team must abide by in order to participate. These guidelines are set fourth by USA Swimming, our program, and SDHS.
- The swimmers will not change in the locker rooms. They are to come in their swimsuits and leave in their swimsuits and only be able to go in the locker room if needing to use the restroom one at a time.
- Equipment - will have to use their own only
- We will have a cleaning checklist and wipe down freq touched areas before leaving
- Will screen athletes for symptoms upon entry each practice. Anyone with symptoms may not practice.
- Each athlete will sanitize hands upon entry and leaving.
- Anyone who is coughing during practice will be removed away from other swimmers until it subsided and if it is persistent they will be asked to leave
- Will follow USA swimming practice spacing layouts
- Anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 or has an immediate family member diagnosed they must have dr. Clearance to return to practice
- Only essential personnel are cleared to be at practice. No spectators in the stands. Parents will need to drop off their swimmer and pick them up once practice is over. No hanging out in the building.
- Swimmers should bring their own water bottle with their name clearly marked on the bottle and cleaned before bringing them back. Water bottles can be refilled from the water fountains but the fountain should not be drunk from directly.
- A waiver must be signed and turned in prior to starting practice.
We are looking forward to getting our swimmers back in the water and want to offer the safest environment possible. Thank you for your cooperation with all of our new rules and regulations!
